Pay stub requirements in Indiana
Indiana attaches its wage statement duty to the Minimum Wage Law rather than to a separate stub statute: every employer subject to that law furnishes each employee a statement of the hours worked, the wages paid and a listing of the deductions made. The rate is the federal $7.25, applied to employers of two or more employees, with $2.13 for tipped work and a $4.25 training wage for employees under twenty during their first ninety days. Payment is at least semimonthly, or biweekly if the employee asks for it, and Indiana Code allows lawful money, negotiable instruments or electronic transfer to the institution the employee designates.

What Indiana law requires
A statement of hours, wages and deductions
Indiana law requires every employer subject to the Indiana Minimum Wage Law to furnish each employee a statement of the hours worked by the employee, the wages paid to the employee, and a listing of the deductions made. The Department of Labor states the duty in those terms without prescribing a medium or a layout for the statement.
SourceSemimonthly, or biweekly if you ask
IC 22-2-5-1 requires every person, firm, corporation, limited liability company or association doing business in Indiana to pay each employee at least semimonthly, or biweekly if requested, the amount due. Payment may be in lawful money, by negotiable check, draft or money order, or by electronic transfer to the financial institution the employee designates, and a contract in violation of the subsection is void.
Source$7.25 for employers of two or more employees
The U.S. Department of Labor records Indiana’s basic minimum rate as $7.25 per hour, applicable to employers of two or more employees, with overtime premium pay after forty hours in a week. Indiana therefore matches the federal floor rather than exceeding it, and no annual state adjustment applies.
SourceTipped wage $2.13 and a training wage of $4.25
Employers must generally pay tipped employees at least $2.13 per hour where a tip credit is claimed, and make up the difference if tips plus the hourly wage fall short of the minimum wage. Indiana employers may also pay $4.25 per hour to employees under twenty years of age for the first ninety consecutive calendar days after they are first employed.
SourceOvertime after forty hours, with a long exception list
The Indiana Minimum Wage Law generally requires one and a half times the regular rate once an employee works more than forty hours in a work week, but the Department of Labor points out that there are many exceptions to the overtime pay requirement and that most of them are collected in Indiana Code § 22-2-2-3(a) through (p).
