Pay stub requirements in Nevada
Nevada splits the job between two documents. What has to travel with the payment is narrow: NRS 608.110 obliges the employer to hand over an itemized list of the deductions taken from the total wages, and nothing more. The fuller picture lives in the wage record required by NRS 608.115, which must show gross pay, deductions, net cash pay, the hours worked each day and the date of payment, and which the employer has to produce within ten days of a request. The state minimum wage is fixed by the Nevada Constitution rather than by the statute book, and since July 2024 it has been a single rate for everybody, with tips barred from counting toward it.

What Nevada law requires
An itemized list of deductions travels with the payment
At the time of payment of wages or compensation, the employer shall furnish the employee with an itemized list showing the respective deductions made from the total amount of wages. That is the whole of the duty attached to payday itself; gross pay, hours and net pay belong to the separate record obligation.
SourceThe wage record carries the numbers, on ten days notice
Every employer must maintain a record for each pay period showing gross wage or salary, deductions, net cash wage or salary, total hours employed noted as hours per day, and the date of payment. The information must be furnished to the employee within ten days after a request, and the records must be kept for two years following the entry.
SourceWages are due semimonthly, on a calendar the statute fixes
All wages of employees in private employment are due semimonthly. Anything earned and unpaid before the first day of a month is due by 8 a.m. on the fifteenth of the following month, and anything earned and unpaid before the sixteenth is due by 8 a.m. on the last day of the same month. Employers whose principal place of business and payroll sit outside Nevada may set fixed monthly paydays for executive, administrative and professional staff, outside salespeople and supervisors.
SourceAnything other than cash or a cheque needs written agreement
Wages must be paid in lawful money of the United States or by a good and valuable negotiable check or draft drawn to the order of the employee, unless the employee has agreed in writing to some other disposition or a court or a government agency with jurisdiction has directed otherwise. Direct deposit therefore rests on the employee agreeing in writing rather than on the employer choosing it.
SourceThe twelve dollar rate is constitutional, and tips cannot count toward it
Article 15, Section 16 of the Nevada Constitution requires every employer to pay a wage of not less than twelve dollars per hour worked from 1 July 2024, and it lifts that figure automatically only if the federal minimum wage ever passes it. Subsection 4 states that tips or gratuities received by employees shall not be credited as any part of or offset against the required rate, so Nevada runs no tip credit at all.
SourceThe two tier health benefits rate ended in July 2024
For years Nevada set two minimum wages, one for employers offering qualifying health benefits and a dollar higher for those that did not, and NRS 608.250 still prints that schedule. The Labor Commissioner annual bulletin records that Ballot Question 2, passed in November 2022, eliminated the two tier minimum wage as of 1 July 2024 and that the single rate applies to all employees regardless of offered employer health benefits.

What this generator calculates for Nevada
Nevada levies no personal income tax on wages, so a stub built here shows federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare, and leaves the state income tax line at zero because there is nothing to withhold.
